Getting back on the horse...
Eeeeep!!! OMGAG!! HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP!! and other such exclamations!
I sent in my resume to the Dead Gentlmen's Production's cast call...and got an audition!!
Sunday(tomorrow), 2pm. The only one left!!
(Sorry, no concert or baby shower for me...)
This is all great and dandy, until they say that they need a 1 minute monolouge and we'll be cold reading sides....
I haven't read sides in *checking* 5 years...since my last film/tv audition!
I have gotten TOTALLY out of practice! I don't have any monolouges I can pull out of my ass...
This is a SMF audition, I have to follow all the regular auditioning rules!!! Eep!
So, luckily, I have this purple accordian folder that contained all of my LA stuff in it.
I've kept it, but haven't opened it. It has been too uncomfortable...until now.
I pulled it out and started tearing through it, trying to find some of the old monolouges I worked on in class, training, etc. I found three that I actually have recollections of..Yay sense memory.
I threw the rest of it away...I don't need it, I don't want it..I'm too old now for most of the material... It felt incredible to clean out all that crap and get back to the basics of what that accordian folder is meant to be.
Now, off to go practice the shit out of this monolouge!! Go print my Resume...God Dammit I need a new Headshot!
This feels amazing, exhilirating and terrifying!! Where's that toolbelt of skills I used to have, it should be around here somewhere...
